Lazy Days of Christmas Break

Gone are the days of kids jumping up and down waiting for Christmas presents. There is just something about having little kids around for Christmas excitement! Although, I have thoroughly enjoyed spending time with our families this year, it just isn't like it used to be. I'm so thankful to be out of the stage of life of having to get toys put together on Christmas Eve at 3 in the morning, and getting out in the cold to carry in gifts that have been stored away for a month or more. BUT, it's so much fun to see the excitement in their eyes, and hear their squeels of joy when they get the toy they most wanted.


I wonder if our Savior looks down on us and cries when he sees what we get so exicted over at Christmas time and what we don't get excited over. I know our kids were just typical to be excited when they were younger; but as young adults they all
understand and cherish the true meaning of Christmas. The birth of our Savior.
No, Santa Clause is NOT Christmas; the birth of Jesus Christ is what Christmas is to be clebrated for. I thank God that our children celebrate the birth of Jesus and exchange gifts with each other to spread the love that they feel toward each other. Thank you God for being with our family and for helping our children to choose lifemates that are Christians as well. We are truly blessed and I know that it is because of your love.

Summer time

These two lovely ladies have been having a blast this summer making some good friend memories. Caroline's family has moved and her job is still here, so, thankfully she spends lots of nights with us. We love having her. She's fun and really easy to have.

As for Miss MiKensey she has had some unusual experiences this summer. One of which has been the Friday she went to the ER and ended up having her appendix taken out that night. She has a lovely reminder of that night on her belly, hopefully it will heal and return to her beautiful belly soon.

We will all be starting school again soon- summer always goes much faster than the school year, but somehow Mrs. Fox never seems to move up in grade level. Oh well, a few more years in 2nd grade and then I hope to move to permanent retirement.

A day in history of our family legacy

Today, March 27, 2009 Dustin Tyler Fox has asked Ashleigh Hamilton
to become his wife. She has accepted and they are now engaged.
He is very excited and I'm sure she is too. Just another step
toward Dustin's belief that it is God's will for him to be going
to school in Northern Ireland. He took such a leap of faith by
going to school in another country, another culture, another kind
of college. Now, he continues that faith by believing that he is
doing the right thing by beginning his own family heritage. I
will be praying that they both will continue to look to GOD for
guidance and support. Dear God, please watch over them, protect
them, and help them keep their path straight. Thank you Lord.
AMEN.

wonder if i can wander

I keep thinking I will post on here and then I don't do it. Tonight I am just testing to see if I even remember how to get on. Once I get my new laptop up and running I am going to try to get back to doing this. Let's see if it has worked.
